I’ve moved this site from github pages to AWS since Chrome’s going to be marking plain-http pages as insecure soon. The configuration I’m currently using is using a combination of S3 and Cloudfront, which lets me do SSL and still use jekyll to generate the site until I re-do it.
It should be a pretty cheap way of hosting the site and doesn’t require me to manage servers, which is a plus. Since I’m using cloudfront, Amazon will create and use SSL certificates for it automatically, which is kind of cool. I’m still leaving the old-site published under github pages for now because it’s hosting the pages for a couple projects I’ve worked on.
